Let me tell you about our adventure in setting up Kaixin over three years ago.
Software and Hosting were separate
The first problem we found was that software and hosting were separate.
If you commissioned a site it cost $1,000’s and you would have to be upgraded some time in the future, or, if you used a simple version, it did not have enough features, being far too simple and clunky.
Free versions can be great, but remember the old adage, 'you get what you pay for.'
There seemed to be 100s if not 1,000s of service providers to host your site. Prices varied significantly. All claimed reliability, but as a very small fish in the pond, how could we check their claims?
Backroom statistics are vital.
We found Squarespace
We found Squarespace, which was only just starting out. It had the Website and the Hosting in one package. They now call it CLOUD COMPUTING. There were NO UPRONT COSTS and a low monthly fee.
Another major issue when you have separate software and hosting is that the software company and the hosting company blame each other when things go wrong, and believe me, things go wrong from time to time. They are usually tiny glitches that bring everything to a halt. Experience and knowledge helps you identify and fix those glitches without throwing your computer out the window. It may even save your marriage one day.

Like all things computer, you need to lose your fear of failure and simply try things.
The WYSISYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor is all you need to start.
Put something in, just like you would any Word Document on your computer, save & close ….. and it is published onto the great WWW.
Now your family, your aunty and your parrot can read it .... IF you tell them about it.

From Basic Design to the Kaixin you see today
Over the years we went from a basic design package to the Kaixin you see today.
We went from two people and a parrot visiting the site every so often to 1,000s of people visiting every month. We went from page three zillion and two on Google to page ONE on Google (plus many other Search sites. We get 1,000's of Search Engine hits each day (over 60,000 a month at the moment, Search Engine hits translates to visitors). We learned how to get effective advertisements. We learnt all about being an Affiliate: the good, the bad and the ugly, mostly ugly, Plus, Plus, Plus ......
...... and we didn't pay a cent in advertising
More importantly, we leaned how to create a Website with a definite presence on the WWW. We learned the tricks of the trade.
We learnt a lot.
You can either take the same journey and spend years learning how to effectively use the potential of Squarespace and the WWW.
OR, you can learn from our experience and save years.
Why use us?
It's like learning anything really .... You could try to learn the piano by reading books. It may be possible, but would save a hell of a lot of time if you learned from an experienced teacher. You could be playing music much sooner, rather than just annoying the neighbours.

You can stop whenever you feel confident, there are no contracts.
This is for advice only. I will show you what to do, but then you do all the work. Indeed, you cannot effectively learn unless you do the work...... and, I don't have enough time. I am simply capitalising on my knowledge. My main focus is Kaixin.
Squarespace support is excellent, but it is limited to Squarespace issues. It will not help you create a quality and viable Website. It will not tell you the tricks of the trade
You do not have to use Squarespace to use our Consultancy Service. We are essentially showing you how to create a quality and viable website. The technical issue of which platform you use is separate.
It is just that we know the Squarespace platform intimately.
